I am completing the second assignment in two days, for different classes, that requires me to use this &amp;quot;language&amp;quot; (I&amp;#39;m a computer science major, for pete&amp;#39;s sake). I am so sick of it that I googled &amp;quot;UML bullshit&amp;quot; and your post came up. You described my feelings perfectly. I feel as though so many of these frameworks are cobbled together by employees simply to justify keeping them on staff.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also don&amp;#39;t appreciate the condescension by those who insist on constantly using UML to demonstrate workflows that you rightly indicated as being &amp;quot;patently obvious&amp;quot;. Just because I am a computer scientist doesn&amp;#39;t mean I can&amp;#39;t understand a simple workflow.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7761453070421040037/2353447763723281952/comments/default/1058655248263862094'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7761453070421040037/2353447763723281952/comments/default/1058655248263862094'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.villiros.com/2008/05/0th-reason-for-umls-demise.html?showComment=1266915905073#c1058655248263862094' title=''/><author><name>Keith C</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/06812147244173943314</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.villiros.com/2008/05/0th-reason-for-umls-demise.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7761453070421040037.post-2353447763723281952' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7761453070421040037/posts/default/2353447763723281952' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
